It was opened on the site of a house called Pen-y-bont between 1891 and 1905 and was run along Calvinist lines. <br> The date of closure is unknown, but was probably sometime after 1950. The small schoolhouse is in good condition, Faint marks on the walls may recall the placing of boards of rules or biblical quotations. The school was recently left open allowing inspection. Inside are piled old computer parts, computer game manuals and old furniture, indicating that the building's last use was as a store for junk.
