Q: Can you tell me how to get into derelict building X?

A: No.

I don't recommend you visit derelict or abandoned places because it's dangerous. It would be irresponsible for me to encourage people to put themselves at risk.

Q: Know any places I can explore?

A: No.
As above, I don't recommend you visit derelict or abandoned places because it's dangerous. It would be irresponsible for me to encourage people to put themselves at risk, even if they're willing to accept responsibility for their own actions.

Q: I'm looking for filming locations, can you recommend any?
A: Probably not.
I run a website about abandoned places, not a location finding service. I don't have the names or contact details of owners on file. If you are looking for film locations, you should try one of the locations libraries available online or do some research and contact the owners or their agents directly.

Q: Can I use your photos?
A: Yes, but you must ask permission and might have to pay.

I don't allow the use of my images without express written permission. Because I put a lot of time, money and effort into taking them, I must charge for commercial use. Fees start from £5 per image, depending on intended use.

Q: Can I quote your text?

Text from this website can be quoted without permission but please don't just lift whole passages of text without crediting your source. All usage of website materials is subject to the terms outlined in the disclaimer.

Q: Can I link to you?
A: Of course!
There is no need to ask my permission. If you want to swap links and your site fits with the others in the links section, just send me an e-mail, chances are I'll be happy to link to you.

Q: Why are the photos on your website so small?
A: It varies.
Until May 2014, the standard size for photos on this website was 640x480. As of May 2014, new photosets have had a higher resolution and work is underway to re-upload existing sets with better quality images. Full sized images of some locations may be available by request, please do ask.

Q: Why are some locations 'undisclosed', can't you tell me where they are?
A: To protect them (usually) and no I can't.
It is known that thieves and vandals sometimes search the internet for easy targets. For this reason I have felt it necessary to protect sites which are especially vulnerable to theft or vandalism. In some cases, I have been specifically requested not to reveal exact locations or have not done so for legal reasons.
